- 3-4 dedicated sending domains (branded subdomains of your main domain)
- 2-3 email accounts per domain, so 6-12 total sending accounts
- Each account is warmed up independently, then used to send 100-150 emails per week
- SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured on each domain
- A cold email platform (like Smartlead, Apollo, or Instantly) that manages the sending distribution
- A follow-up system that handles replies and sequences
- List segmentation so you're not sending the same message to everyone
With this setup, you'd see reply rates in the 8-15% range on your cold email sequences - meaning you'd get 160-450 replies from those 3,000 emails. From there, your conversion rate depends on your sales process, but 2-5% of replies closing as clients gets you to 10-15 new clients per month.
Without the infrastructure? You'd probably get 1-2% reply rate, mainly because most of your emails hit spam. You'd struggle to book 2-3 meetings, and you'd be frustrated enough to give up on cold email entirely.

- Sending too much volume too fast. People set up an account and send 500 emails on day two. Boom - blocked.
